NEWS: Redhead interviews on The In Deep Show

Over the weekend, I got the chance to interview with a fresh new podcast show called The In Deep Show. They have a segment on the show called Thee Un where they feature undiscovered musicians and showcase their work and talents. I was out in downtown Washington, D.C. to support my friend King Kan’s event, so we did the interview via Skype live on the street amongst homeless people and drunken pedestrians. That’s the life I chose!

Check out this interview where I play some music and talk about my background with Drew & Brian. Shoutout to Esther who sealed the deal!

NEW MUSIC: Redhead – Am I Thirsty? Pt. 1

This is a particular song that I’ve done while working on my Exxxactly project. It’s come to my attention through several conversations with friends and family that a lot of relationships are being started in social media outlets these days. This is all fine and everything, but most times, you would have to be careful in how you approach someone because you can easily be labeled as overzealous or “thirsty”. In this Panama Jackson produced song that I decided to drop in light of Valentine’s Day approaching, I decided to hit on this topic a bit. Part 2 of this song is on my project where it gets a little bit more indepth and bizarre. Enjoy this and spread to your peoples!!

VIDEO: Redhead Visits Club Plug Radio (1/18/14)

This is a video recap of an interview that I did with Club Plug Radio. For this particular segment, I was interviewed by hiphop artist Adversary, who was previously known for freestyle competitions on 106 & Park. In this clip, I break down what my style is like and my influences growing up in Maryland. Shouts to DJ Freaky Ty for the opportunity and the staff for allowing me to come over and share my music with their audience.

VIDEO: Redhead performs with Watermelon @ Velvet Lounge (1/11/14)

On Saturday, January 11th, 2014, I was invited to do a cameo performance at Velvet Lounge with one of my favorite indie funk rock bands Watermelon. They’re from the Washington DC area and have recently relocated to New York. During their stops back home, they were accompanied by rappers Kwame Darko and MH The Verb, who were also present as we performed an impromptu version of Nas’ classic NY State of Mind. My good friend Flex Mathews was also in attendance.

Expect more work with myself and Watermelon as the future unfolds with brand new music for the 2014 year. Follow us on twitter @redheadpg and @Watermelonband.

VIDEO RECAP: The FarEXP appears on The LaZ Hour (1/1/2014)

As I’ve stated before in previous posts on this site, the album debut of The FarEXP titled The Expansion would be available in this new year of 2014. On an effort to promote this project, I’ve brought the members to The LaZ Hour to speak a little bit about the album and all banter in between. Of course, at the end of every segment, there is a freestyle cypher at the end. Thanks to Miguel for producing this video, DJ Laz-Eye, Dark Prince, and the rest of the staff for allowing us to appear for the program. Here is a short clip of the appearance for those who haven’t seen it.

BEHIND THE SCENES: The @DelegationMusic’s “Daltz 2” Video

Just recently, the posse cut that I was a part of for The Delegation‘s upcoming mixtape project had some footage taped for its music video. We had a lot of fun recording the song, but definitely had a great time shooting this particular scene for the video. Lots of great energy and comedy went down.

On Christmas Eve, I dropped a verse for a posse cut featuring 9 rappers for The Whole Damme Delegation‘s upcoming mixtape. It was great times along with The FarEXP. The video for this song will be released shortly, and the song itself will be released any day now, which you can download right from this website. NEW VIDEO: Redhead Drops Viral Video for “Too Much”

This is the single “Too Much” that comes from my debut EP Exxxactly in early 2014. I decided to create something based off one of my personal favorite movies From Dusk Till Dawn. TDeezy produced this track and I appreciate all the love shown for this particular song in the clubs, mixshows, and “other entities” that I won’t discuss yet. I couldn’t leave 2013 without releasing this music for everyone to hear. The official video will debut on my VEVO page in early 2014, as well as the song for download. Not to mention, my group The FarEXP (which consists of Ardamus, Fleetwood Deville, Flex Mathews, RNL, and myself) have completed our debut album The Expansion to be released in 2014. It has production from UnOwn, Oddisee, and Kev Brown. Take care everybody and Happy Holidays!!

Music: Redhead – “The Night”

This was a track that I made from my first mixtape “The Honesty Box”. It’s one of my favorite songs that I’ve done. The sample is from a song that I used to listen to as a kid, and I wrote about my experiences in the music industry when I first got into it. The names have been changed/omitted to protect the innocent, and is all made with creative freedom. Check it out and let me know what you think.

VLog: Redhead Previews New Track

Just something I did for fun. New project on the way!
