NEWS: Redhead To Appear on The Cristina Payne Show on 6/25/14

While still recording new music that I want to express to the world of my newest transitions, I’ve been asked by my super good friend Cristina Payne to appear on her Internet radio show (as well as co-hosts Troy Lamont and Rallo Boykins) to talk about my work in honor of Black Music Month. From there, I will speak about Exxxactly, upcoming shows, and all things connecting my brand. Don’t worry if you won’t be near a computer to listen to the show; I’ll have video coverage on deck for the occasion later in the evening.

On Wednesday, June 25th at 1pm, please visit www.listenvisionlive.com and check it out!

NEW MUSIC: The FarEXP (feat. Redhead) – The Expansion (Album)

Before I post this album, I have to briefly explain its context. Back in 2012 after the release of my mixtape The Schemata, I was approached to join a hiphop group called The FarEXP. I accepted the offer based on the inclusion of two members whom I’ve known for many years, even though I wasn’t aware of the music nor how they operate. After several recording sessions coupled with endless amount of fights & bickering, I quit the group on my own accord at the top of 2014 and decided to let them do what they wanted to do for the sake of the album. If you’re a fan of underground boom-bap rap music reminiscent of Slum Village & Souls of Mischief, you can take a listen. Production on this album is from UnOwn, Kev Brown, & Oddisee.

NEW MUSIC: Redhead – The B-Side Interlude

Just a small test preview of something that I’m making for the Exxxactly project. So far the process has been pretty fly, but I always like to experiment with sounds and structures. I’ll probably revise this at some point, but check this out and let me know what you think!

NEW VIDEO: Redhead – “Too Much” (Extended Version)

Today is the debut of the extended version of my music video for “Too Much”. This was shot in both Harlem, NYC and Washington, D.C. In the course of a few months. I would like to thank Nicole Benson, Jonathan Budoo, and Carty-Yeah for the additional camerawork, Catherine Augustin and Big Mike for the color help, Michael Coyle for the t-shirt line and all of our extras. It was a lot of fun to shoot and I hope you guys dig it!

NEW MUSIC: The Delegation – Daltz 2 feat. Paperboy, Ardamus, Brain Rapp, Redhead, & Omega

As promised, my peoples put out their newest mixtape called House Party this week. This is the track that I’m featured on which I must say has a really dope verse by myself. We had a good time doing this song. The video should be out pretty soon for this one as well. Definitely get into this before then.

The lineup goes as follows:

1. Paperboy
2. Ardamus
3. Brain Rapp
4. Redhead
5. Juda (of The Delegation)
6. Omega

P.S.: Shouts to Listen Vision Studios for once again supporting my music and to University of Maryland College Park for supporting “Too Much” on their FM radio station.

NEW MUSIC: Trap Rappers Are Stupid (Verse)

I got asked to do a song with my really good friends Da Cov. I’ve known these guys for years and they make hiphop tracks for fun and I ALWAYS wanted to be included in these. Years later, I received a text from the homie Jason to get down for one. I consider this verse as just payback for all the times I’ve been denied, as well as my growing disdain for all these new rappers coming out that wanna ‘turn up’ so damn much and have no finesse in writing lyrics. Well, guess I gotta show them right? Cool. Whatever.
