NEW MUSIC: “But Of Course”

I just wanted to drop a song expressing Black Boy Joy during these difficult times in our country right now. There’s more music I plan to release soon. Until then, dance (safely) in your homes.

This song is available on all streaming platforms: http://hyperurl.co/BUTOFCOURSE

NEW MUSIC: “Always Right” feat. Masta Ace

Let me explain the story about this record. My first show I ever did was opening for Masta Ace. I was excited to do it, even stole my mother’s car to drive to Baltimore to do it. Years later, I came up with the idea to do a song about overcoming obstacles and struggles that anyone can relate to, and not just me. I felt like putting Ace on the song because it marked a time in my life where I felt like I could do anything that I wanted. I know who I am and what I can do. When you live in your truth, you’re never wrong; you’re always right. While recording this song, the COVID-19 pandemic was happening, and some things happened. Nevertheless, we got it done and I think it’s pretty dope. Check it out for yourself.

This song is also available on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, & more!

NEW MUSIC: “2020 Christmas Freestyle”

I’ve been quiet with new material this year. I have good reasons for that, but for now, check out this freestyle to hold you over. The beat is produced by Nottz. Let’s do it.

More bars for the laughs. Thanks for the love!

RECAP: Stephen Redhead Opens for Chico Bean of Wild N Out (12/7/17) & Wednesday Verses (12/20/17)

On December 7th, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at Ivy City Smokehouse for an event called December Revival. I’ve brought in the homie DJ Rok and they had an in-house band. It was a packed, SOLD OUT show and was pretty dope. It turned out that bringing DJ Rok to the event was the best decision because the in-house band needed an extra element. I’ve conducted a show to the best of my ability and had the crowd dancing and buying copies of the album. I appreciate everyone in that building immensely, especially those that have known me for years and managed to see me perform for the first time in light of the Huffington Post feature. Chico Bean performed earlier in the night and did a hilarious set that filled everyone’s spirit and energy.

Also, on December 20th, I did a surprise cameo appearance at Wednesday Verses in Washington DC’s Old Engine 12. The in-house band at this particular event was way more inventive and experimental, and gave the Exxxactly song a great energy that it truly deserved. Here’s a clip from that performance, and check out my Cardi B Christmas sweater I donned for the occasion.

NEW MUSIC: Stephen Redhead – “You’re Still A Racist” (Joyner Lucas Freestyle)

I checked out a new song by rapper Joyner Lucas “I’m Not Racist”. Interesting concept, but the Black person’s rebuttal seemed kinda lacking in its context. So I decided to do a verse for fun. No big deal.

PRESS: Stephen Redhead Profiles in the Huffington Post

Shouts to Brittany Burton for penning this profile piece on me, as well as my upcoming show at Ivy City Smokehouse on December 7, 2017 in Washington DC.

SHOW RECAP: Redhead Performs ‘Anyway Pt. 2’ For The First Time

Last night, I took a visit to the homie Nature Boi‘s #OpenGem event at Wicked Bloom in Washington DC. At the event, I decided to unveil the new ‘Anyway’ remix for the first time for a small intimate crowd, just to play around and see how it goes. As usual, there was a lot of talent in the room an a lot of connections were made.

NEW MUSIC: ‘Anyway, Pt. 2’ feat. 3D Natee

You gotta come through with the remix, you know? Shoutout to New Orleans. The song is also available on iTunes (right side of this website), Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, and other streaming platforms of your choice.

NEWS: Foot Locker Adds ‘Red Carpet’ to Official Playlist for Stores Nationwide

This is a big surprise to me. I was calling up a friend to talk about some things, and he texts me a series of videos from a Foot Locker store in Wheaton, MD. The store was playing my record “Red Carpet” through their official curated playlists. It turns out that whoever works for Foot Locker’s headquarters found the song and added it for stores nationwide. I’m beyond honored and happy about this. Thanks to Foot Locker for checking me out.

Here’s one of the videos that my friend sent me:
