NEW MUSIC: Trap Rappers Are Stupid (Verse)

I got asked to do a song with my really good friends Da Cov. I’ve known these guys for years and they make hiphop tracks for fun and I ALWAYS wanted to be included in these. Years later, I received a text from the homie Jason to get down for one. I consider this verse as just payback for all the times I’ve been denied, as well as my growing disdain for all these new rappers coming out that wanna ‘turn up’ so damn much and have no finesse in writing lyrics. Well, guess I gotta show them right? Cool. Whatever.

VIDEO RECAP: Redhead Previews New Music at #PlaylistTuesdays

Here is a video recap of my appearance at #PlaylistTuesdays where I premiered music from my upcoming Exxxactly project. These songs include “Steady Building”, “Evacuate”, and of course “Too Much”. I had a pretty cool time at this event. Shouts to the other artists that I saw there such as Laelo, Darren Hannibal, Phil Ade, Phil Da Phuture, and Visto. Also much love to 368 Music Group and Melisa Kim for allowing me the opportunity to showcase this material.

VIDEO: Redhead performs with Watermelon @ Velvet Lounge (1/11/14)

On Saturday, January 11th, 2014, I was invited to do a cameo performance at Velvet Lounge with one of my favorite indie funk rock bands Watermelon. They’re from the Washington DC area and have recently relocated to New York. During their stops back home, they were accompanied by rappers Kwame Darko and MH The Verb, who were also present as we performed an impromptu version of Nas’ classic NY State of Mind. My good friend Flex Mathews was also in attendance.

Expect more work with myself and Watermelon as the future unfolds with brand new music for the 2014 year. Follow us on twitter @redheadpg and @Watermelonband.

BEHIND THE SCENES: The @DelegationMusic’s “Daltz 2” Video

Just recently, the posse cut that I was a part of for The Delegation‘s upcoming mixtape project had some footage taped for its music video. We had a lot of fun recording the song, but definitely had a great time shooting this particular scene for the video. Lots of great energy and comedy went down.

New Remix: Rihanna “Cheers” feat. Redhead

I did this remix to the Rihanna record awhile back and neglected to put it online, so here’s a revisit of the song. Enjoy!

VEVO Premiere: Redhead – “Aim To Please” (Music Video)

This is the VEVO premiere of the first music video that I’ve ever directed of myself called “Aim To Please”. It was done sometime last year where I was driving my car away from a house party and decided to tape the events of that night. I’m laughing at this in particular because you can clearly see that I’m ducking the police as I’m driving home. I wanted to put this record out because I wanted to showcase the different sides of myself as an artist, especially with the platform that I have with SFE/InGrooves/Fontana. There will be more upbeat, hilarious party songs in my next releases, but for this one, I wanted to showcase that I’m just a real person with real stories. Here is the video for your pleasure, and you can buy this song on Itunes/Amazon/eMusic and everywhere else, as well as Talk White

BONUS: Here’s also “Talk White” for good measure
