NEWS: Foot Locker Adds ‘Red Carpet’ to Official Playlist for Stores Nationwide

This is a big surprise to me. I was calling up a friend to talk about some things, and he texts me a series of videos from a Foot Locker store in Wheaton, MD. The store was playing my record “Red Carpet” through their official curated playlists. It turns out that whoever works for Foot Locker’s headquarters found the song and added it for stores nationwide. I’m beyond honored and happy about this. Thanks to Foot Locker for checking me out.

Here’s one of the videos that my friend sent me:

NEWS: Redhead Does Theme for “Straight Yak” Podcast

Recently, a good friend of mine Princess Black has been making waves on the internet due to her social commentary on race, police brutality, and other things relating to Black Lives Matter. She has been instrumental in an organization called Think Moor that specializes in bringing awareness to events that effect the African diaspora.

In an effort to further her efforts, she created a podcast called Straight Yak, where she covers several topics of this nature (as well as pop culture) while drinking her favorite: Hennessy. Not surprising, my record Hennessy Saint Laurent has been chosen as the theme song for the show.

Check out this fresh, hilarious, and informative podcast on ITunes and Soundcloud and subscribe for new weekly episodes.

While supporting longtime collaborators Navi & Juda from Delegation Music Group at the Broccoli City Fest where they opened for the likes of Erykah Badu, Joey Badass, as well as Jaden & Willow Smith, I was invited by them to accompany the crew on stage for an impromptu freestyle session. The crowd was lit and fun was had. Glad to be able to show off my skills for the occasion. Check out videos and photos below!
